Textile / Recycling Merchants
We are happy to consider any very large quantities of used books with certain criteria being met:
- A price is paid per tonne.
- All books must be boxed, palletised, shrink wrapped and banded with a minimum of 500kg+ per pallet.
- Transport can be arranged (via haulier) or can be included for a higher rate should you have your own logistics in place.
As a book salvage merchant, we rely on salvaging a percentage of the books from the pallet in order for us to maintain our business. This means that on average, the higher percentage we salvage (the more that can be filtered before dispatching to us) the more we are prepared to pay per tonne. If you are a textile / recycling merchant, the easiest solution we find, is to only ask your shops to box their books (small to medium sized boxes) and also offer your shops the choice of filtering, with some further light filtering from collection drivers (if achievable) and making payment accordingly.
We offer our base rate until a level has been established and when processed if we can see a higher degree of filtering has taken place, we will pay a higher band appropriately. At our base rate, we would anticipate salvaging on average 20% to 25% from the load. If loads consistently fall below this, we would not be able to continue purchasing from your organisation as it would be financially unviable.

We can handle a significant amount of tonnage from any one source per week, so are happy to take smaller or larger loads as and when required. So regular or adhoc loads are fine with us.

We are happy to consider quantities of withdrawn publisher stock, remainder books etc in new or very good condition.
